Janice Colgate launched Uchi Design, Inc. in 1995 based on her belief that “ fabric is the key to a beautiful home.” Janice moved to Delaware from New York City, where she worked in the fashion industry for 12 years. Her time spent with designers, specifically evening wear designer Tadashi Shoji, gave her an extensive knowledge of fabric. Janice’s experience in fashion initiated her passion for interior design.
